What is Certapet?
CertaPet is a technology and telehealth platform that connects patients, who are seeking recommendation letters for emotional support animals or PSDs, to licensed mental health professionals that can evaluate them and determine whether or not they qualify for an emotional support animal or PSD. WE want to assure you that all of our mental health professionals are licensed and you will be assigned to one who is licensed in your state. If the mental health professional does not recommend an emotional support animal or PSD we will refund you your purchase, minus the $40 dollar service fee for the consultation with the mental health professional. We are also accredited by the Better Business Bureau.

Our therapists consist of Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors, and Licensed Mental Health Counselors.
All of our Licensed Mental Health Professionals are fully qualified and have passed board exams. The LMHP we select will be one that is legally qualified to approve ESA Letters for your state.
Payments and Refunds
At this time we are offering two types of payment plans for clients in the US. Customers who are in need of both ESA housing and PSD letters are given the option for the first payment of $ 35.99 and three monthly payments of $59.99.

Customers who are in need of housing or travel are given the option for the first payment of $35.99 and three monthly payments of $44.99.
We refund on two occasions if the mental health professional does not recommend an ESA or PSD, which would be considered a partial refund, everything minus the $40 service fee.
And if you cancel your order prior to being assessed or contacted by the therapist. Anything other than this will have to be escalated to a supervisor.
If you wish to return the purchased vest please return the item you received to the address below, with the packing slip explaining why you are returning it for a refund, along with your order number.

Once received we will issue your refund. The product you return must be in the same condition you received it.
Shipping
You will receive a digital copy of your letter via email and upon request a hard copy in the mail. The letters are shipped priority mail and usually take 2-3 business days. For your convenience, a tracking number will be sent to your email.
We do not ship outside of the US.

Our Process
"You will first start our process by taking our online screening (click HERE), this takes around 5 minutes and this will indicate if you would be a good candidate for an ESA. If yes, the process is automated, you will be routed to a page with a little more information on the type of letters we provide and the pricing. Once you choose your letter type, you will then pay. After payment is made you will then provide your patient and pet information and take our Emotional Support Animal Assessment. After you submit the assessment you will be contacted by your assigned licensed mental health professional to schedule a phone consultation and they will determine whether or not you will benefit from a ESA.
**Please note that during your consultation, the therapist might ask you for a few forms that need to be completed and signed by your ESA's veterinarian.
If approved you will receive a digital copy of your letter via email and upon request a hard copy in the mail. If the mental health professional does not recommend an ESA you will receive a refund minus a $40 dollar service fee for the consultation. Right now our turnaround time to have contact with your therapist is around two business days."

"For renewal, you only need to login into your account HERE. Once you are logged in, please click on the button next to your most recent letter and select “Renew” to begin. Please note that you can renew beginning 3 months before the expiration date, but also please consider that the new letter will be created based on the date it was requested.

Our renewal cost is $99 for one type of consultation $149 for both (Housing+Travel or Housing+PSD)
**Payment plan does not apply for renewals.
****Please note it is illegal for our therapists to pre or post-date letters, the letter must reflect the date it was prescribed.

>Landlord's Rights
Under the ACAA, anyone with a diagnosis of a mental disability and an emotional support animal letter from a mental health professional verifying the emotional benefit of the animal may be allowed to travel with the animal.
With that said, as of January 11, 2021, under new regulations passed by the U.S. Department of Transportation, the allowance of Emotional Support Animals onboard flights may vary from airline to airline. Please contact your airline of choice for their most up-to-date policies on Emotional Support Animals.
Additional Services
The therapists in our network are very familiar with reasonable accommodation verification forms. The charge for this service is $49.99 and goes directly to the therapist for their time. Housing providers may choose to ask questions that our therapists might find invasive about your health record. Due to that fact, please be aware that therapists occasionally may not be comfortable completing all or part of the form. Privacy is of the utmost importance to us.
Please also note that you will receive a follow-up call once you submit the form.
